This policy explains the information we collect and how we use, share, and protect it when you use the Wi Go app, including passenger and driver information, trips, communications, and promotions.

1. Information You Provide

Registration and passenger information may include first name, phone number, country, and city. Where permitted by law or required by the service, we may collect a selfie to verify identity, national ID numbers for safety purposes, as well as emergency contact numbers.

Without providing this information, you may not be able to use the platform or some of its features. If you wish, you can also provide your surname, profile picture, and email.

2. Driver Information

Driver information may include full name, profile picture, license details and status, vehicle information such as type, model, year of manufacture, color, registration certificate data, license plate, and a photo of the car.

We may also request proof of identity, government ID numbers, and identity documents, including driving license and passport, proof of residence, home address, date of birth, gender, tax identification number, relevant insurance, right to work, driving record, and payment or banking information and other documents that may be required by applicable regulations.

Without providing this information, you will not be able to register as a driver or complete the required verification to use the service.

3. Content You Create

This may include content you choose to upload to the platform such as comments, ratings, reviews, responses, messages, or any other materials you create or share during use.

4. Request Information

Request information may include points of origin and destination, request method, estimated, suggested, or agreed price, type and category of transport, and any comments associated with the request or adjustments made during execution.

5. Communications

Information contained in communications you send to us may include chat messages, emails, and any attachments, as well as recordings of phone calls you may make with us and relevant metadata, as permitted by law and as per operational or security needs.

6. Promotional Information

From time to time we may launch promotional programs, referral campaigns, offers, or benefits associated with the service. If you choose to participate, we may request information such as your name, email, user ID, phone number, payment methods or banking information if legally or operationally required, home address, social media accounts, vehicle type and photo.

7. How We Use Your Information

1. To Enable You to Use the Platform

We use information to enable users to maintain their accounts, request and provide services through the platform, verify the right and ability of drivers to provide services, prevent and combat unsafe or illegal behavior, fraud, and platform rule violations, provide support to users and handle their complaints, send non-marketing communications such as invoices or trip-related notifications, and maintain the accessibility, security, and stability of our platform and prevent and resolve incidents and technical problems.

Legal Basis: Performance of our contract with you, compliance with legal obligations, and legitimate interest in making the platform a safe place.

2. To Improve and Develop Features and Products

We use information to conduct testing, research, data analysis, development, quality improvement, and machine learning, as well as to collect your feedback and improve the user experience, reliability, and performance.

Legal Basis: Legitimate interest in providing the best experience for you. When explicit consent is required for certain uses, we will obtain it separately.

3. To Promote the Platform

We may use information to send marketing messages and advertisements to you, or to make marketing calls, or to provide you with personalized content and advertisements on the platform and on third-party platforms, or to organize competitions, events, referral programs, and other promotional offers.

Legal Basis: Legitimate interest in promoting the platform. When explicit consent is required for some forms of direct marketing, we will obtain it separately.

4. To Protect Rights and Comply with Legal Requirements

We use information to comply with licensing or permit requirements and any other applicable laws or regulations, to respond to law enforcement requests, government inquiries, subpoenas, court orders, and legal claims, and to protect the rights and interests of Wi Go, our users, or the public.

8. How We Share Your Information

With Other Users

We share some information about users to enable trip scheduling and provision. Passenger information shared with the driver may include name, profile picture if uploaded, rating, pickup and drop-off locations, number of trips, offered fare, comments, and contact information. In regions where we require passengers to provide a national ID number, we may also share whether the passenger has provided this number, without sharing the number itself.

Driver information shared with the passenger may include full name, profile picture, vehicle information and photo, location before and during the trip, ratings, reviews, number of trips, and some contact information necessary to perform the service.

When we need to provide passengers with receipts or invoices, we may share information about the starting point and destination of the trip, total duration, distance traveled, total fare details, driver's name, and any other information required by law.

If you registered via a referral link, we may share some information about you, such as your name and number of trips, with the user who referred you to enable them to verify their eligibility for a referral reward. For other than transport services provided through the platform, we may share information with other users necessary to provide those services.

With Service Providers

We may share your personal information for operational or commercial purposes with service providers such as technical support, user support, cloud storage, in-app communications, anti-fraud, advertising, marketing, analytics, research, surveys, payment of rewards and provision of benefits associated with promotional offers, as well as consultants, lawyers, accountants, auditors, and other professional service providers.

Independent Entities

Some partners may process data for their own purposes as independent controllers, such as Google or providers of maps, advertisements, analytics services, or payment methods where applicable. In these cases, processing is subject to the privacy policies of those entities and may not be under our direct control.

Within the Corporate Group

We may share your information with a parent company, subsidiary, or affiliate within our corporate group as part of our global operations or to coordinate service delivery, support, and compliance.

In Connection with Business Transfers

We may transfer personal information in connection with a major corporate transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, where personal information is among the assets to be transferred.

For Legal Reasons

We may disclose your personal information when required by a Wi Go group entity to protect rights and comply with legal obligations, such as responding to legal requests from courts, law enforcement agencies, or regulatory bodies.

With Your Consent

We may share your personal information for other purposes with your consent or at your direction when legally required or permitted.

When Non-Personal

We may share aggregated or anonymized information that no longer identifies individuals personally, for analysis, research, service improvement, or internal reports.

9. Public Disclosures and Child Protection

The platform is not directed to children as defined by local laws. If we discover that we maintain personal information of a child, we will make reasonable efforts to delete this data and ensure it is not used or shared again.

If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us as described in the Contact Us section. We may request additional information to verify the request and take appropriate action.

10. Location and Technical Data

We may collect geographic location, device data, operating system, and usage history to improve the service, provide requests, follow trips, and handle malfunctions and security verification. Some features may not work properly if this data or its permissions are disabled.

11. Data Retention

We retain data for as long as necessary to provide the service, resolve disputes, comply with laws, combat fraud, and improve security. After the legal or operational need ends, it may be deleted or anonymized as permitted by regulations and internal policies.

12. Security and Protection

We take reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect data from unauthorized access, modification, disclosure, or destruction. However, absolute protection cannot be guaranteed against all technical risks.

13. Information We Collect Automatically

We may collect some information automatically when you use the app, including location information, communications data, device data, and activity history, to the extent necessary to provide and improve the service and protect users.

Location Information

We collect location data for users to enable trips, provide support, ensure safety, detect fraud, and comply with legal requirements. This may include GPS coordinates and Wi-Fi data according to app settings and device permissions.

End Users: We may collect the precise location of your device when the app is displayed on screen or running in the background, from the moment the app is opened. An end user can use the app without enabling location collection from their mobile device by entering the pickup and drop-off addresses directly.

Providers and Drivers: We may collect the precise location of your device when the app is displayed on screen or running in the background in driver mode when your status is "online" and during order execution. We may also collect precise location for a limited period after you exit driver mode to detect and investigate incidents that may occur during order execution.

Communications Information

We allow users to communicate with each other and with us through the platform. To facilitate this, we may receive data about the time, date, and content of communications, and use it to provide support, resolve disputes, identify violations of platform rules, ensure safety, and improve the platform.

14. Your Rights

You can request to update your data or inquire about how it is processed through in-app support channels. Some requests may affect the continuation of service provision if the requested data is necessary for operation, legal compliance, or security verification.

You can also request to delete your account or modify some of your data when regulations and policies allow, taking into account legal obligations, security records, and disputes.

15. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in laws or our way of working. When we update this policy, we will notify you by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and posting the new privacy policy and providing any other notice required by applicable law.

By using the platform after the update takes effect, you agree to the latest terms of this policy.

16. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to improve the user experience, save your preferences, and analyze how the app is used. You can control cookie settings through your browser or device settings.

Some basic features may depend on these technologies, so disabling them may affect the work of some parts within the app or the ease of logging in and maintaining the session.
